Tares

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Tares are a particle bait which prove effective for coarse species and carp in particular. For coarse species a tare is often fished on the hook, whereas for carp fishing it is often used as a blanket feed with a hookbait placed over the top. Tares need to be soaked and boiled prior to use; approximate guidelines would be to soak completely in water for 12-hours, then bring to the boil and simmer for around 30-minutes.
