Pectoral Fin
Pectoral Fin: A pair of fins located either side of the under body just behind the gill covers. Effectively the fishes limbs, and used for a many purposes but predominantly movement. Larger fish like carp are able to expel great forces through their pectoral fins and so often use them like a hand to waft the water, which in turn will dislodge or move potential food items around on the lake bed for further inspection.
