Noodle Rod

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

American term used to describe a soft, light and longish (normally 9-12ft) rod designed to be used with very light lines.

The rods softness prevents even large fish from being able to break light line.

Considered by some to be unsporting because of the length of time taken to land a large fish which can cause the fish undue stress and tiring.
