Modulus: Relative to angling and rods the "modulus of elasticity" refers to the relationship between stress and strain. In more simple terms it defines the stiffness to weight ratio of the fibres used to produce a rod blank. Generally speaking the higher the modulus of the fibres used, the lighter the blank can be for a given stiffness
